Celebrity "Bubbles"
Who says you have to be in- the-know to rub elbows with our fair city's celebrities. How about just rubbing fenders instead? SocietySpy.com true to its name, tells you where to hang out to sneak a peak at the visible and the well known. Furthermore, find out what they say, do and drive. As they say " What you drive is how you arrive". (I always wanted to know who "they" are)

Seen, served and observed at Mr. Bubbles Car Washes were:

Deborah Duncan Deborah Duncan (TV Show host). While waiting for her Mercedes to be spiffed up, she tried on sunglasses and talked about Payless Shoes. Girlfriend must be doing good and rating must be up. She was at another location, this time sporting a BMW.

Bob Allen Bob Allen (TV sports commentator). Cruised in a Mercedes Benz 500SL, got a shoe shine and talked about Florida.

Aubrey Theode (local politician), driving a Chevy Suburban (campaign car). Chatted with the store manager and got gas (the car did).

Craig Biggio (baseball player), had his Land Rover washed. Didn't do much, just looked good and hung around outside, soaking up the rays.

Dan Patrick (who?) in a Lexus 300. Bought a pre-paid detail deal and schmoozed with the manager.

John Culbertson ( State Representative) sporting a '94 Olds Cutlass. Naturally, reminded everyone to vote, left his car and went to grab a bite to eat.

Lamar Lathen Lamar Lathen (ex-football star), but still a star, spotted several times. Once, driving a Bentley, then a Rolls Royce and another time a Mercedes. Bought a CD, an upholstery cleaner and talked with Brother C, the shoe shine master.

Bill Balleza (TV newscaster). Bought Girlscout cookies, while having his Mercedes S430 lathered up.

Dominique Sachse (TV newscaster), cruised in a Corvette (seems apropos for her). While waiting for the spin cycle to finish, she scoped out the merchandise and talked about chap-stick flavors (hmm!).

There you have it, hang out at Mr. Bubbles, have your wheels shampooed and you just never know whom you may rearend.

Kudos and Congratulations to Cleverley
Cleverley Stone Even the Spy of Spies (moi), in her infinite wisdom and of unlimited resources, cannot provide you with all that you simply must know to be in the know. To the rescue comes the cleverest of all, Miss Cleverley Stone, with her ultimate guide to the inside lore of wining, dining and entertainment. She gives a plethora of facts, figures, information, tid-bits and morsels of news you can use. She is the Diva of dish, literally. In fact, she became so good at knowing the inside scoop, she self publishes, what became Houston's Official Hospitality Newsletter. It is an outgrowth of her column from the now defunct Houston Post, where she was a columnist and wedding editor. The newsletter is the ultimate guide to the goings-on in the restaurant, hospitality and media circuit. She knows who is hot, cool, new or improved. You can even find a job (horrors! Not a real job!) in Cleverley's Job Bank. Recently, her flourishing publication celebrated it's 100th issue. Congrats!

So, if you want to make it look as if you've been everywhere, but actually haven't left the house in two weeks, hook up with Cleverley cleverleystone@yahoo.com and her newsletter and make yourself look smart. She won't tell.
