If you're like me, who's idea of investing is yet another Chanel bag, be sure to check out this column next month for some guidance from a pro who will bring the world of finance to a realistic level. Lynn Mathre will answer the burning question of Roth IRA, is it for men or women?

Edna Mayer-Nelson Until then, here is one Honey, who is keeping her money. Moreover, she made it all by herself and is continuing to do so as we speak. SocietySpy gives you Miss Edna Mayer-Nelson, who did not marry it, divorce it or inherit it (money that is).

The divine Miss M-N formed her company, Richland Financial Services of Texas, Inc. in 1991. Through partnerships, the company invests in office buildings, retail strips and industrial centers, while providing its investors with cash flow by paying a monthly return similar to a certificate of deposit-- only with a much higher rate of return. She actually puts forth her own capital in each offering and guarantees to purchase any unit back if an investor is not satisfied with the monthly return. So far not one has wanted to do so. The company currently manages in excess of $200 million in assets and its real estate portfolio consists of over one million square feet. Edna plans to expand the company, where it will be taken public in the next several years as a REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust). This will make her the first woman in the country to own, operate and manage a REIT. Viva Success!!! You go Girl!!!
