In the event your dance card is not completely full and there are still a few blank spaces on the calendar, here are couple of hip-happening things you may want to jot down and maybe even attend.

How would you like to rub your celebrity elbows with four astronauts, Debra Paget, Gary Bucey, Kathy Garver, Butch Patrick, Deanna Lund, Paul Petersen among others? I'll tell you how. Attend "The fourth Annual Houston Celebrity/Autograph Collector's Show". The event takes place on February 5th and 6th at the Sheraton Brookhollow, 3000North Loop West. Personally I'm going there to check out Butch Patrick, he was Eddie on TV's show "The Munsters" and I want to see if he still wears his hair the same way. You remember Kathy Garver of course, she was the cute and darling Cissy in the TV series "Family Affair". And if you want to sneak an up close and personal peak at "Cissy", then accidentally on purpose drop by River Oaks Grill, (evening of February 5th) cause she and her long time pal Judy Nichols will be having an adult beverage there (of course, you didn't hear it from me)

Attention to all of you with big hearts and big appetites!!!
Want to know how to fill both your stomach and your heart? Mark your calendar for March 1, 2000, and you can do both in one delicious and heartwarming swoop. Italian food lovers and dining out aficionados! Good news! There is yet another Italian restaurant on the horizon. Maggiano's Little Italy is opening it's doors in the Uptown Post Oak of Houston (2019 Post Oak Boulevard) and naturally this wouldn't be Houston if such an occasion did not serve as a benefit to a worthwhile cause. Houston Children's Charity will be the recipient of this opening benefit and will receive 100% from the $35.00 admission tickets each, for which you will be treated to cocktails, Hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment and complimentary valet parking. Please respond early, as the attendance is limited.

Never heard of Maggiano's? Pity. Here is a peek. Reminiscent of a restaurant in New York City's pre-WW II "Little Italy", it will feature lavish portions of old world Southern Italian recipes. Red and white linen tablecloths and richly polished oak. Out front patio (good for people watching), and best part of all, restaurant will be opened for lunch and dinner seven days a week ( we all know there aren't many dining spots opened on Sunday nights in Houston). F.Y.I the first Maggiano's was built in Downtown Chicago in 1991, and since has opened in ten other cities. (to attend this benefit, contact Houston's Children's Charities 713 524-2878)
